Naomi Joswiak is a program coordinator at Results for Development with a background in food security, agricultural development and human rights. Her role at R4D is focused on financial management, business development and various research efforts, most recently a costing analysis of open government reforms.
Before joining R4D, Ms. Joswiak supported multiple global health practices for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, including the annual Grand Challenges Initiative. As a graduate student she studied sustainable agriculture, nutrition and food systems. Her thesis was a statistical analysis regarding the potential of biofortified orange sweet potatoes to address vitamin A deficiencies in Uganda.
Ms. Joswiak holds an MSc in food security from the University of Edinburgh and a BA in international studies and political science from the University of Washington.
